Procedures and Requirements
I. Requirements
Those non-Chinese citizens who are mentally and physically healthy, have good morality, are friendly to China , are willing to abide by Chinese laws and University's regulations, and can respect Chinese customs can apply to study in Jiangnan University if meeting the following specific conditions.

1. Whom to Apply
(1) Applicants for Chinese Government Scholarship
Those who wish to study in China may make an application to the concerned departments of their government. Upon filling out the application form, they may express their wish to study at JNU in the column of “preferred institution”. The China Scholarship Council (CSC) will forward the application materials to JNU. Once accepted, the applicant is entitled to Chinese Government Scholarship.
(2) Self-supporting Applicants
Within the time limitations, applicants can apply directly to School of International Education, Jiangnan University.

2.Application Materials
(1) Applicants are required to fill out the “Application Form for Foreigners Wishing to Study in Jiangnan University”.
(2) Photo-copy of Highest Academic Certificate and School Record
(3) Photo-copy of “Physical Examination Record for Foreigner” (valid for 6 months, the original copy must be kept for registration)
Note: Concerned Application Forms: Applicants for the Chinese Government Scholarship may ask for the Application Forms from the concerned department/ministries of their governments. Self-supporting applicants may download directly from the homepage of School of International Education website, or ask for the Application Forms from School of International Education.
3.When to Apply
Academic year in JNU begins on the September 1. The deadline for the Degree Program Application is June 30, and the deadline for the Non-degree Program Application is June 30 for Autumn Semester and December 31 for Spring Semester. Applicants for Chinese Culture short-term Learning courses can apply at any time.
4.Admission and Visa
Applicants who have been admitted to JNU will receive before July 31 “Notice for Admission” and JW201 or JW202 Form with which they can apply for their visas to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate.
III. Registration
Upon registration, students are required to present their passports, Notice of Admission, JW201 or JW202 Form, Physical Checkup Record for Foreigners (valid for 6 months), 4 photos (1 inches, front view, half length, hatless). In addition to these, self-supporting students are also required to pay their tuition, registration and accommodation fees.
Our School will welcome new students at Shanghai Pudong International Airport 2 days ahead of the commencement of each semester. Students should inform us of your flight No. and arrival time so that we could arrange pick-up properly. Students who will come at other time, if needing to be met, please contact us in advance and inform the arriving time at Shanghai Pudong International Airport or Wuxi Railway Station. We could arrange a pick-up, but there is a separate fee for this service.
